How serious is the status of vaccine hesitancy and denialism on social media? Who’s promoting anti-vaccine content? How? What is spreading?

In this research project, my coauthor and I are investigating anti-vaccine and pro-vaccine pages on Facebook. Based on a large-scale Facebook data collected with a novel data collection method we have developed, we are examining the structure and mechanism of anti-vaccine movements and the circulation of vaccine misinformation on social media.
